Vialund XC Black
Vialund XC is one of our most exciting news this season. This boot is flexible, robust, and made of durable and highly water-repellent materials. Leather with an outer membrane and sealed seams makes the shoes resistant to both dirt and wet while it requires very little care. The boot opens wide and is easily adjusted over the foot with two functional hook and loops. Inside is a warming and durable wool mix lining and at the bottom is a removable and replaceable sole, also in a warming wool mix. The outsole is made of lightweight PU with a good pattern that gives a light shoe with a good grip. Now all you have to do is go out and have fun in the snow.
If you do not have access to a measuring stick like the ones you usually find in stores, you can place the foot on a paper, slide the paper next to the wall and place the foot on top of the paper with the heel against the wall. Draw a line in front of the longest toe and measure with a ruler. It is important to stand up because the weight of the body will extend the foot by a few millimeters.

Tip! Complement your winter shoes with a warming wool sock and an extra wool sole.
Care
Shoes produced in Cross Country leather are easy to clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. The leather does not need to be impregnated or greased if the membrane on the outside is intact. In case of wear damage, you can impregnate the worn part to maintain the waterproofness and protect the shoe.
Dry your shoes at room temperature and remove eventual insoles for faster drying.

It's a little bit tricky to give one general size recommendation for different shoetypes.

Production
In 2009 we moved our production from Sweden to Bosnia & Herzegovina, where the craftsmanship and art of making shoes are preserved and prospering. In 2017 Kavat D.O.O opened, a brand new and top-modern facility in Novi Travnik. Here, 90 employees are working together, 300 pairs of high-quality leather shoes per day.
