It all started in Kumla, Sweden, back in 1945. With a passion for craftsmanship and a vision to create shoes that would last – in both quality and style – Ragnar Karlsson laid the foundation for what would become Kavat. Since then, we’ve grown and evolved, but our core values have remained the same: timeless design, solid craftsmanship, and genuine quality. We’ve continued to push boundaries without losing our roots – like in 2008, when we became the first footwear brand in the world to receive the EU Ecolabel, and again in 2024, when our first rubber boots earned the same certification.
