New season. New shoes.
The membrane and lightweight textile upper makes Kavat Iggesund waterproof while also being breathable. The double loops allow for a convenient and secure fit. In fact, it’s all about what matters to kids. Easy on. Easy off, comfort and here we go. Reinforcement at the toe cap ensures it will hold throughout the years and for many steps yet to come. Its non-marking durable rubber outsole provides extra grip when it’s needed most.
The sneakers are easy to keep clean on regular basis with a damp cloth and mild soap. Use our biodegradable shoe protector for additional stain- and water repellency. The innersole is removable/exchangeable, and you can machine wash the boots in low temperature when needed. The pre-loved pairs of Iggesund are easy to sell second hand if not passed on to younger siblings. The average-second-hand price are often around € 20-25 for pairs that have been around for some years.
Iggesund is said to be an old strait between the Bothnia Sea and Lake Vik in the north coast of Sweden, known to be extremely hard to navigate. According to a legend Iggesund got its name from a giant, Igge or Ogge, who would have inhabited the area in ancient times.
The first Kavat Waterproof textile boots were launched already 2008/2009. The first version of today’s Iggesund was at the time called Viskan. Engineered together with outdoor professionals, adapting same quality materials and constructions for the Kavat kids’ program as often used for adult outdoor footwear. This perhaps explains the Iggesund comfort experience. The boots are manufactured by our Taiwanese partners at different locations in southeast Asia.
