Rain wear from Kavat

A shoemaker sticks to its last, it says. But we have made an exception!

A shoemaker sticks to its last, it says. But we have made an exception!

Many have contacted us and wanted to see a coordinated rainwear collection for our popular and durable rubber boots. We listened and started a collaboration with Londre Textiles in Borås (where it rains the most in Sweden). We asked them to develop the most durable, rainproof, comfortable, and functional garment imaginably. After two years of various tests and trials, we are now here with a finished collection that we are now proudly presenting!

The collection includes a rain jacket, rain pants, and rain gloves. These are made to withstand heavy rain and have many smart functions. They are designed to be inherited between siblings and cousins or resold. We are now hoping for bad weather in Sweden and the rest of Europe, so our garments can be tested in real life at your home.

The collection is for kids and comes in three lovely colors that match our rubber boots, partly made of bioplastic. Repair kits are included to extend the garments' life even further.

Why PU?
We know the research into polyurethane and that many choose polyester as an alternative. But we were in contact with an environmental expert on textiles. The expert told us that no such good, durable, waterproof material lasts as long as PU. Nevertheless, the expert recommended we go ahead with the material if we wanted our rainwear to last a long time (in the long run, there will undoubtedly be more alternatives).

We want our rainwear, just like our shoes, to be durable, functional, and passed on, and we are incredibly proud of how well they turned out!
